"Pure Negev" is #4/18 of the Collection*
Transparent glaze on hand marbled pink and white clay hewn from Israel's Negev desert, the very ground where Jews wandered on their journey from Egypt to Israel. Generously embellished with 22 karat kiln fired gold.
It's destined to become a cherished family heirloom for the seder, and to display as art year round.
*The 18 unique seder plates in this limited edition collection, were made from an impression I took of the iconic manhole covers that dot the streets of Jerusalem. The name of the collection, Next Year in Jerusalem, was inspired by the official emblem of the City of Jerusalem emblazoned in the iron of the stunning cover.
33 cm (14") diameter seder plate and 6 dishes for the special seder plate foods, bitter herbs, charoset, shank bone, egg, root vegetable and parsley or lettuce
• Food safe
• Hand wash with care
A note about handmade art
As with all handmade art, no two pieces are identical. Limited edition
pieces are created in the same basic shape, size, style and palette, but
there will be small differences due to handmade nature of my work.
