This one-of-a-kind handmade menorah is inspired by the classic palette of Jerusalem and its surrounding hills — soft tones of stone, rose, sand and sky.
Both sides feature original hand painting in a watercolor style: one depicting the Western Wall, the other a vista of the walls of the Old City against the hills of Jerusalem. It is made from clay from Israel's Negev Desert, not far from where the miracle of Chanukah took place some 2,000 years ago, and finished with generous 22-karat gold accents fired in the kiln.
An original painting on ceramic, created as functional Judaica and collectible artwork, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity documenting the artwork, artist, date, materials, dimensions and signature.
The menorah in these photos has found its home. Its sibling — the same sculptural body and candle arrangement, on a pedestal base — is already hand-painted in this style and is now being glazed and kiln-fired with 22-karat gold. It will be ready to ship in 2–3 weeks. Each piece is made individually, so it is a close sibling of this one, never a copy.
