Heart of the Negev Pendant on Beaded Strand

Made by hand in Jerusalem from the clay of the Land of Israel. When you wear it, you carry a piece of the Land with you wherever you go — for many of my customers, a way of keeping its holiness close. Finished with 22-karat gold fired on in the kiln; one of a kind, signed, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

My love of Israel, and the stark beauty of the desert inspired the design for this unique statement piece. To create this pendant, I blended cream color and pink clays from the Negev Desert to create a random patten, and used it to form an organically shaped, contoured heart.

After bisque and glaze firings, I added 22 karat gold accents, and fired it a third and final time. 

It is strung on an opera length (88 cm) strand of hand beaded gold, pearl and garnet beads, and has fine 14 karat gold filled findings.
