This one-of-a-kind Menorah was inspired by the velvety midnight-blue sky, that provides such a rich backdrop for the lights of the Chanukiah. It was glazed in my own recipe of cobalt blue oxide, black underglaze, and transparent glaze, and is accented in 22 karat gold that was fired on in the kiln
The oil/candle cups are are hand-painted in organic landscape lines in jewel tones of pomegranate red, shades of Galilee and forest green, and date yellow, as an homage to the Israel's lush land.
What makes this menorah really special and meaningful is that it is made from the clay of Israel's Negev desert, not far from where the miracle of Chanukah took place some 2,000 years ago.
